Jess Edwards
Jess Edwards (She/Her) is the founder and director of Flourish: Health and Wellbeing in Nature. After many years’ experience working as a social worker and mental health clinician, conducting risk assessments and recovery plans and working with those affected by trauma, drug or alcohol abuse, she is using her holistic and client centred based approach as the basis for this new endeavour.

Nature Based Therapy is an emerging field in both complimentary therapies and holistic health treatment which has been incorporated into the practice of many medical and mental health professions.
Jess is constantly adding to her extensive list of professional development by recently completing studies in Intensive Trauma Treatment (How the body keeps score), Positive Psychology (the Science and Practice of Wellbeing) and a Advanced Accreditation of Nature based Therapy.
Working with clients of all ages, she provides individual, group, online programs, workshops, and retreats to deliver her nature-based counselling programs.

By enabling people to reconnect with nature and experience its beauty, Jess believes a sense of belongingness emerges, and life becomes more meaningful. Jess’ aim is to support individuals to take charge of their own lives and make decisions which will improve their life outcomes.

Carrying this belief into her personal life, Jess is also a volunteer leader for Escaping Your Comfort Zone- a women’s and non-binary body positive adventure group. In her spare time she also likes nothing better than enjoying a walk along the beach or various trails with her trusty dog, Murphy. As long as it’s not too hot, cold or raining he will be there!
Murphy
Meet Murphy, Jess' canine companion. Murphy is a 2y.o Shar Pei x who enjoys walking on the beach, swimming, playing ball and sunbaking. Murphy loves people and his favorite activity is meeting new people and getting pats.
Murphy is available to accompany Jess on Individual Counselling session on request.
