Information & FAQ's

Preparation
As nature can be unpredictable at times, it is a good idea to be prepared so that you can get the most out of your chosen experience and enjoy what nature has to display on any given day.

Beforehand
On booking you will receive all relevant information regarding your selected activity.

What should we wear?
Comfortable clothing for being outside for the duration of the experience. You might like to apply sunscreen or insect repellent beforehand.
•    Closed toe shoes (no thongs or sandals)
•    Hat
•    Jacket or wind- proof jacket
We recommend you check the weather forecast before an event to make sure you have appropriate clothing, such as a light rain jacket.

All activities are conducted at a slow pace, for example we will be moving slowly on walks, so you are unlikely to work up a sweat if you are of average fitness.

What to bring
We recommend you bring the following items, so you can get the best out of your nature experience.
•    Drink bottle and water
•    Hat
•    Jacket or wind- proof jacket
•    Small bag/back pack to carry your equipment and personal belonging.

Important Information
•    Participants are asked to observe mindfulness and speak quietly during the activities.
•    Mobile phone must be switched off or on silent mode for the duration of the activity.
•    Do not pick or remove flowers or plants during the activity.
•    No pets allowed, excluding service animals
•    We follow a ‘leave no trace’ policy, please do not litter and take rubbish home with you.

What to expect
Nature Connection walks are inclusive events, meaning anyone over the age of 12 can attend, however those under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Nature Connection walks generally travel between 1-2km over the 2 hours, depending on the group location this may include some stairs and walking on sand. Other events are wheelchair friendly.  Walks include a range of activities such as tuning into our senses through mindfulness, meditation, and nature crafts, such as creating nature mandalas.

Can anyone participate in nature therapy ?
Absolutely, nature therapy is for everyone. Sometimes people get put off by the word ‘therapy’, this is not group therapy, but rather if you think of the nature as the host and I’m the facilitator of the group.
I facilitate the connection to nature and help show you ways in which nature can help you process thoughts, feelings and emotions.

Can I bring Children?
We encourage children to come if they are over the age of 12 and accompanied by an adult. Unfortunately, children under 12, are not the target audience of the public groups.

What about babies?
Happy or sleeping babies under the age of 12months strapped to a parent are welcomed and join us for free.
